Introduced in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka “Snips” Tano is Anakin Skywalker’s 14-year-old female Padawan. Her age and youthful personality have made her particularly attractive to young female fans. The Ahsoka kids costume for Halloween is a relative hot-seller in a market dominated by the likes of Barbie and Disney.
The officially licensed Ahsoka kids costume costs less than $50. However, if the parent is a proficient sewer they can actually get by on far less by designing most of it themselves. The pieces that the Ahsoka kids costume comprises are basic clothing for a sewer with experience. You can purchase the two most challenging aspects of the Ahsoka kids costume, the light saber and headpiece, separately.

The Challenging Asajj Ventress Costume
Since the Clone Wars animated series premiered, the Asajj Ventress costume has been among the bestselling of all officially licensed Star Wars costumes. However, these Asajj Ventress costumes are primarily for children and not up to sci-fi convention standards. Making one’s own Asajj Ventress costume presents one major challenge: her head.
Asajj is completely bald, and Sith tattoos adorn her head. The most dedicated fans actually shave their head to accomplish the Asajj Ventress costume. Others use a skullcap, but applying the skin-safe tattoos is a challenge. Interestingly, the most common Asajj Ventress costume is one with hair. It has become common for female fans to provide their own interpretation of the Asajj Ventress costume through the hairstyle that they choose to use.

Darth Maul Costumes For That Next Big Party
On several occasions, Star Wars Episodes I-III introduced vital characters to the universe with brief sometimes non-speaking roles. An example of this is the infamous Darth Maul who played a far greater role in The Phantom Menace than his screen time suggests. That didn’t stop the character from having a great impact on fans, which has made Darth Maul costumes some of the most common.
Like all the most popular Star Wars costumes, Darth Maul costumes are simple enough to hand-make for anyone willing to put the time in. Even creating the face, although time-consuming, is relatively easy. Perhaps the most challenging aspect would the head on a non-hooded costume, but even that is relatively simple using a skullcap and small cones available in any crafts supply shop.

Luke Skywalker Costumes
Due to the popularity of the new material, many Star Wars fans focus on the newer costumes. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that, but there’s still a lot of potential with the classics. Take Luke Skywalker costumes, for example. Luke Skywalker costumes are iconic, look great, and they are relatively inexpensive compared to the modern costumes.
A karate uniform serves as the perfect basic for the classic Luke Skywalker costume. It may be a little too bright if it’s new, but this is nothing that a good soak in a mud-solution followed by a wash can’t fix. For the boots, you wear sneakers and simply wrap them in beige gauze from the toe to md-calf. Any old wide black leather belt would serve as the finishing touch.

Star Wars Yoda Costumes
When George Lucas introduced the world to Yoda during The Empire Strikes Back, audiences had seen nothing like him. The character captured our collective imagination, and that has never changed, even as increased technology has jaded modern moviegoers. Perhaps this is most evident at sci-fi-themed events, where Yoda costumes are still among the most popular.
Creating homemade Yoda costumes is like a badge of honor among fans because of the difficultly involved in creating the head. This process involves olive green face paint and sewn ears, and more times than not it looks awful, which is why we really appreciate it when done well. Of course, you can complete your Yoda costumes with a professional Yoda mask, but be ready to spend in the hundreds for a full-head mask.

Classic Obi-Wan Kenobi Costumes
Played by both Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor, Obi-Wan Kenobi is more than a popular sci-fi character. He is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema. Obi-Wan Kenobi costumes, ranging from the new films to the old, are popular choices because they look great and are relatively inexpensive. Another popular aspect of Obi-Wan Kenobi costumes is that there are so many to choose from, perhaps more than any other Star Wars character.
In recent years, it has been popular among Star Wars fans to wear the Obi-Wan Kenobi costumes from Episodes I-III and the Clone Wars animated movie. However, these things go in cycles, and at this year’s Comic Con, we witnessed a large number of Obis in the classic Obi-Wan costumes (brown robes with pointed hoods).

Plo Koon Star Wars Costume
George Lucas did not introduce Plo Koon into the Star Wars universe until Start Wars I: The Phantom Menace. Nevertheless, it did not take long for Star Wars fans to embrace the character. In fact, despite only a brief non-speaking appearance in the film, he was somewhat of an overnight sensation due to his unique and aggressive appearance.
That appearance has made Plo Koon costumes highly sought after, but the Plo Koon costume has remained uncommon because of the challenging nature of the mask. Creating the headpiece for the Plo Koon costume requires an expertise that most fans do not have. The good news is that due to the popularity, fans can purchase a professional ¾ mask for a Plo Koon costume for less than $50.
